The new coffee culture in Nepal
It hasn’t been long since the streets in Kathmandu started to have dedicated coffee shops unlike in Western countries. Last 2-3 decades saw a huge evolution in Nepali coffee market, commercialization of coffee and the growing of coffee culture.
The first to adopt the coffee culture became the Nepali youths. Consider it as a fashion, an addiction or just a cup of coffee, it didn’t take long for the coffee to be part of a major beverage in Nepal.
Nowadays, almost every restaurants offer coffee, many hotels and bars have their in house barista, lots of coffee cafe have started to open in the busy streets of not just Kathmandu but across all over the country.
